There are many ways you can participate in the Renovation of the Community Center.
Donate IRA Retirement Assets
People who are age 70 ½ or older can contribute up to $100,000 from their IRA directly to the Friends Renaissance Fund and avoid paying income taxes on the distribution. This is known as a qualified charitable distribution.
Donate Stock
People who own stock for more than one year that has appreciated in value can transfer that stock directly into the Friends Renaissance Fund. The stock will be immediately sold and the proceeds deposited into the Fund. Please call the Friends office (941) 964-0827 for DTC instructions.
Make a grant from your Family Foundation or Donor Advised Fund.
Friends of Boca Grande is a qualified nonprofit 501(c)(3) public charity that is tax-exempt as determined by the IRS. Our Nonprofit Identification Number is 59-2818741.
Cash Donations
Donations of cash can be made by cash, check, credit card, wire transfer, or ACH. Please call the office at (941) 964-0827 for instructions. Estate Planning for Friends Endowment
There can be significant tax advantages to donating retirement assets to Friends of Boca Grande as part of an estate plan. When done properly, charitable donations of retirement assets can minimize the amount of income taxes imposed on both your individual heirs and your estate.
